A former staff writer on The Times, I am now a freelance journalist writing mostly about books (but also beauty, food and home-made knickers) for UK broadsheets. I have also worked on the literary pages of The Times and The Financial Times.

My writing appears regularly in The Sunday Telegraph and The Times and also in The New Statesman, The Financial Times, The Tablet and The Ham and High.

Apart from writing, I enjoy making pies, being married and polishing my spectacles.
